I LOVE TRIOS

Hello family and friends!!

I heard some pretty exciting news from Jeff and Alicia, YAYYY CONGRATULATIONS! Will is going to be the best big brother💙

Sister  Adams is amazing, awesome, adventerous, active, and always sweet:) She is from Pocatello Idaho, is 22, went to BYU-I for several years, loves to clogg and irish dance, says the funniest sassy comments, is the hardest worker and I am so lucky to have her as an additional companion!!! I LOVE being in a trio!

The two week spring break started here which is a blessing and a curse! Our wards looked like branches yesterday because almost everyone heads down to mexico, but anyone  who stayed has been outside making it possible for us to talk to people in all the areas that we can't knock doors!

We had an amazing experience with prayer this week. As we were trying to contact people who got lost in our area book we met an older lady named Jenny. A few months ago some Elders ran into her and gave her a Book of Mormon. We have stopped by her house so many times and never had anyone answer. Come Wednesday we tried again and she opened up the door! We had a long conversation with her and learned that her grandaughter was recently killed in a shooting down town and her family is having a really hard time. As we began to share a message about the plan of salvation I had the feeling that we should ask if we could say a prayer with her. I offered the prayer and I know that all the things I was saying came straight from the Holy Ghost. I know that she needed to hear those things to feel comforted. It was an emotional experience to feel such strong power of the Lord through myself as I testified of His love and concern for her. Never doubt the power of prayer!!

At zone meeting this week we talked about burying our weapons of war. Our zone leaders went outside, dug a big hole, and had us throw a piece of paper with whatever our 'weapons' were that are holding us back from reaching our potential. No you don't have to dig a hole, but I want to challenge eveyone to think of one thing this week that is possibly a distraction or limits you in any way and try to burry it for the week! I have noticed my abilty to focus is much more effective with just one of my 'weapons' stuck in a hole out in the middle of the desert! haha rip with the scorpions

We taught a few lessons about faith this week and i love this quote by Elder Andersen,

Faith Is Not by Chance, but by Choice By Elder Andersen
"Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is not something ethereal, floating loosely in the air. Faith does not fall upon us by chance or stay with us by birthright. It is, as the scriptures say, “substance …, the evidence of things not seen.” Faith emits a spiritual light, and that light is discernible. Faith in Jesus Christ is a gift from heaven that comes as we choose to believe and as we seek it and hold on to it. Your faith is either growing stronger or becoming weaker. Faith is a principle of power, important not only in this life but also in our progression beyond the veil. By the grace of Christ, we will one day be saved through faith on His name. The future of your faith is not by chance, but by choice."

Boy oh boy do we have to make the choice to have faith every day! Satan really hates missionaries and throws stupid stuff at us every day to make us doubt. Doubt your doubts before you doubt your faith!! Choosing to have faith is probably the best example of agency we could be given on this earth!!

I love you all SO much! And please let me know if I can do anything for any of you!
